Claiming something is true because it hasn't been proven false.
Examples
- I believe ancient aliens built the pyramids. No one has proven they didn't.
- Bigfoot exists in these woods. The fact that no one has definitively proven otherwise means I'm right.
- My product cures cancer. If you disagree, show me your research disproving it.
